She started breeding Persians in 1989, with Exotics following in 1994. The main aim has always been to breed happy and healthy show cats. Showing has been a major hobby for decades.

The animals are all kept first and foremost as pets.

The dogs all live indoors and always will.

The indoor cats have a safely enclosed run to go out in.

They are not allowed outside otherwise -it is too dangerous.

The stud boys have to live in a cattery as they would fight otherwise -and mate all the queens all the time. This is built into the attached garage, has heating and lighting and is weather proof.

Some females and neuters live in the cattery too, but they tend to be alternated so that

each gets time indoors.

Kittens are ALWAYS reared indoors with lots of attention.

From July 2004, only FAB PKD tested negative cats are bred from -or their offspring which is guaranteed to be negative.

(Before this there had not yet been a chance to have the cats tested. There were few vets in the UK that offered the service and PKD was fairly unknown even by vets.)

Many of the oldies still live with Marianne and John, happily retired. Katy is 16 (2009) and Endora was 15 ½ when she died.

Marianne and John don't believe in discarding cats just because they are no longer "useful" -

although the occasional retired adult cat may be re-homed to special pet homes.
