The pet birds !

2 Cockatiels and 4 budgies.

I have almost always had birds -since I was 11.

At times it has been a bit difficult, because of the cats!

Therefore I had a bird free break for a few years,

then ended up with a few again in 2001.

My current 2 Cockatiels are DINO (Grey) and CHICO (Pearl).

Chico arrived 7th of October 2006 from a breeder in Wakefield after

Charlie had sadly died and left Dino lonely.

Dino had arrived from a breeder in Doncaster 9th of August 2003 after Christie died.

Both Chico and Dino were hand reared as babies so are very tame indeed.

They are only locked in their cage at night and have their own room away from cats.

These are all the budgies. They are only semi-tame.

From left to right: Polo Mint, Perchy, Pinto and Pingu.

They live in the bedroom.

I would love to know what her colour is called

-I don't know much about bird colours!

PREVIOUSLY:

On 4th of October 2002 I bought CHARLIE, here pictured aged

12 weeks. A hand reared and very VERY tame

Cinnamon Pearl Cockatiel hen.

Very sadly Charlie had to be put to sleep on the 4th of October 2006, due to a liver tumour.

She was my first very tame bird and very special.

As she got older, the pearling increased.

Charlie needed a friend, so Christie was bought 27th of December 2002.

Not hand reared and already adult,

but still quite tame.

Christie was a Lutino hen. She died unexpectedly August 2003.

The two cockatiels soon made friends.

When Christie died suddenly in August 2003.

Charlie needed a new friend.

This Grey is only 8 weeks old in the picture and super tame,

another hand reared bird. She is now named Dino !
