20th of November: The Supreme Cat Show. Sunrise wins 1st in his class and the Grand Premier Certificate, his second.
9th of October: We went to the annual pet cat show for the South Ribble Pet Cat Club. What a day! We had entered Prince (of course!), Prince's little half sister Aurora and Ringo the Maine Coon. Ringo had not been shown for many years (he will be 9 on the 1st of December) and had never been shown as a pet before -judged on condition and temperament alone. Aurora of coruse had never been to a show either, being just 4 months old.
Cutting a long story short, all 3 cats did extremely well. Prince won Best in Show Pedigree Pet (again!). Ringo had a red card day, attracted a lot of attention (including from Maine Coon people who all said he was so nice and should be shown in the normal way in future) and in the Casper Challenge (a knock out challenge where two cats compete against each other, the winner then competes against another winner etc etc until only ONE cat is left -this being the ONLY competition in the show where ALL the cats were judged against each other; pedigrees and moggies) and Ringo WON the Casper Challenge! Aurora was picked as the People's Choice (voted for by all the exhibitors and visitors to the show) and also Chairman's Choice Kitten.
We came home with no less than 14 trophies, 20 kg of dry cat food (mainly Applaws), 42 cans and pouches of Applasw wet, 2 cat beds, 2 cat flaps, 3 ornaments, 4 bags of cat litter, lots of cat toys -and mroe!
(Just a pity the car broke down on our way home and we had to wait 3 hours for the AA to tow us home!)

We showed the same 3 cats (Sunrise, Marabou, Prince) and between them, in 16 classes entered they won 12 firsts, 2 seconds and one sixth (the last one out of 11) -with 8 trophies. Sunrise and Marabou both won BOB and Prince won BOV.

10th of July: Humberside and Lincolnshire Cat Clubs joint Championship shows. We entered 3 cats in both shows and had a great day.
Sunrise won BOB in both shows and was awarded the Grand Premier Certificate in Humberside and the Reserve Grand Premier Certificate in Lincolnshire. He also won several side classes.

Anne Gregory's BIS critique on Prince:
For the Lincolnshire Show the Pedigree Pet was a beautifully presented Persian type exhibit
